Forst BW, the city of Bühl, and we have agreed on a parking management system. Since December 2024, a parking fee of €1 per hour applies at our location. The first 45 minutes are free, with a maximum charge of €8 per day.
In December, a digital, barrier-free parking system was launched at the parking lot of the Mehliskopf Leisure and Sports Center. The system automatically calculates the parking duration using privacy-compliant license plate recognition at entry and exit. Payment is made by entering the license plate number at user-friendly payment terminals or conveniently online.
Parking operations are managed by Mobility Hub Parkservice GmbH. They will be available to answer any questions from parkers regarding parking. Contact details are provided on the posted informational signage.
When entering and exiting, the vehicle's license plate is scanned, and the parking duration is automatically calculated. The payment terminal is quick and easy to use, offering a wide range of payment options. Payment can be made shortly before departure with coins, cards, or via Apple and Google Pay (NFC). Additionally, parkers can pay online. Important note for cash payers: Please have exact change, as the machine does not dispense change. However, the machine clearly indicates this during the payment process, allowing users to interrupt the transaction to insert the exact amount or opt for card payment (debit or credit card). Posted signage serves as a reminder not to forget to pay. Once the payment is complete, the parking area can be exited seamlessly without stopping.
An image of the vehicle's license plate and a text file with a timestamp for determining the parking duration are recorded. No video recording is performed, and no public areas are captured. The license plate is read in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the GDPR.
Upon entry, only the license plate is recorded. The driver of the vehicle cannot be identified. Only in the case of a parking violation can the vehicle owner’s information be retrieved through a request to the Federal Motor Transport Authority. This data is temporarily stored in Germany solely for this purpose. If no parking violation occurs, the entry and exit data are automatically deleted.
Detailed signage is part of the required and prescribed information about the parking process.
